Nankana Sahib Trust was founded in memory of the most sacred temple of Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. NSET was registered in 1953 with a commitment to uplift the vast weaker section of Indian polity comprising Rural India by admitting 70% of students every year from rural areas. The trust emphasizes providing quality education, fostering moral values, and nurturing a sense of social responsibility among students. It has established various educational institutions to empower underprivileged communities with knowledge and skills. Through its initiatives, NSET continues to bridge the gap between rural and urban education, ensuring holistic development and brighter futures for students. The Nankana Sahib Education Trust runs a total of 18 educational institutions, including 11 schools, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic, a Training College at Kot Gangu Rai, a Community Development & Training Centre, and a Science & Technology Center.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਿਹ।। ਦੇਹਿ ਸ਼ਿਵਾ ਬਰਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਇਹੈ, ਸ਼ੁਭ ਕਰਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਟਰੋਂ।। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਟਲਣ। ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਹੈ, ਵਿਅਰਥ ਕਰਮ – ਕਾਂਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਵਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਾਡਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਤਾ – ਪਿਤਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਾਂਚ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਮਾਪੇ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਹੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਉ਼ਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨ ਕਾ ਬਧਾ ਮਨ ਰਹੇ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਨ ਹੋਇ।। ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਿਠਤੁ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਗੁਣ ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆਂ ਤਤੁ।। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਂਵਾਕ , ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਅਟਲ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਠਾਸ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ।
